Every project begins with a site visit and a written estimate, and both are free. We walk the land or the existing building with you, take measurements, note access and ground conditions, and talk through what you actually want out of the project. You then receive a breakdown covering the scope of work, materials and the expected cost, so there are no figures invented halfway through the build. If the estimate does not suit your budget we will talk through where the scope can be adjusted. Quotes are available anywhere we work, from Colombo down through Galle, Matara and Hambantota.
Architectural and Structural Plans
Before anything is poured or laid, the drawings need to be right. We prepare and coordinate architectural and structural plans for your project, working alongside architects and engineers to turn a rough idea or a sketch into a buildable set of drawings. That covers floor layouts, elevations, foundation and column design, and the structural detail needed for the building to stand up properly on its particular site. Getting the plans settled early is what keeps a build from stalling later, and it means the quote you receive reflects what will genuinely be constructed.
General Building Construction
Ground up construction for houses and general building projects, built to the approved plans from foundation to final finish. This is the core of what we have done since 2000: excavation and foundations, columns and beams, block work, roofing, plastering, flooring, doors and windows, electrical and plumbing first and second fix, painting and handover. New family homes, extensions to an existing house, boundary walls and outbuildings all fall under this. Sloped and awkward sites in the hill country are familiar ground, as are the coastal conditions along the southern belt where salt and moisture need accounting for.
Commercial Construction
Offices, shops, showrooms, warehouses and other commercial premises, built new or fitted out within an existing shell. Commercial work carries pressures that housing does not: a tenancy date to hit, a trading floor that has to function on day one, and services such as power, water and drainage sized for business use rather than domestic use. We plan the sequence around those constraints and keep you updated on where the job stands. Much of this work sits in and around Colombo, though we build commercial premises across all six regions we serve, including non commercial and community buildings.
Government and Infrastructure Projects
We take on public sector work alongside private contracts, including road construction. Government projects run differently from private jobs: the specification is fixed, the documentation and measurement requirements are heavier, progress has to be recorded and certified stage by stage, and payment follows the contract rather than an understanding between two people. We are set up to work that way. Road work covers new construction, widening and resurfacing, along with the drainage, culverts, retaining structures and earthworks that go with it. We also build and refurbish public buildings. If you are issuing a tender in any of the regions we serve, we are glad to be included.
Hotels and Villas
Hospitality and high end residential building, for hotel operators, guest house owners and private clients. Sri Lanka's southern coast runs on this kind of work, and Galle, Matara and Hambantota are where much of ours sits. A villa or small hotel asks for more than a standard house: pools and water features, open plan living that still stands up to coastal weather, guest bathrooms, verandas, staff areas and finishes that photograph well and survive constant use. We also take on refurbishment of existing hotels and villas, including phased work that lets part of a property keep operating.
Repairs and Renovations
Not every job is a new building. We repair, renovate and refurbish existing commercial and residential property, from a leaking roof or cracked wall through to stripping a house back and remodelling it. Typical work includes roof and gutter repair, damp and water ingress, re plastering and painting, bathroom and kitchen refits, replacing doors, windows and flooring, rewiring and re plumbing, and structural repair where a building has moved or been damaged. Renovation is often harder to price than new build, which is why we would rather see the property in person before quoting.
Site Clearance and Cleanups
The work either side of construction. Before building starts a site usually needs clearing: vegetation and trees removed, old structures taken down, rubble and debris cleared out, and the ground levelled and set out ready for foundations. After construction finishes, the site needs handing over properly, which means removing surplus material and packaging, washing down surfaces, clearing paint and cement residue, and leaving the building genuinely ready to move into. We take on both as part of a larger project or as standalone jobs for clients whose building work is already complete.
